THIS IS FOR THOSE THAT STILL DOUBT THAT IT WORKS!

These are my own results... On 7/22/2012, I did my first wrap... since then I have done 4 more wraps... added supplements into my daily routine on 9/17/2012... and started using the Defining Gel twice a day on 9/28/2012.

I am down TWO pants sizes... and 17 1/2 pounds!!! And I still don't eat as well as I should... I still don't exercise as much as I should... and I still don't drink nearly enough water!!!

But I'm a work in progress!!! And with results like these... I know IT WORKS!!!

Are you still doubting it??? What do you have to lose... except unwanted fat?!?!?

SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN POSTING... BUT

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting.  Unfortunately, after attending an amazing It Works! Global One Team, One Mission event last week, I was involved in a very bad car accident.  So, I've been laid up for the last week or so.

You'll be happy to here, however, that I've been keeping up with my regimen of supplements and am wrapping tonight.  But before I do, you should know that I have officially LOST 15 POUNDS... and GONE DOWN 2 PANT SIZES since I've started my journey with IT Works!

I will return with after photos and updates tomorrow!!!  So, stay tuned.

Wishing you all a wonderful night!!!

IT'S A COLD RAINY DAY... BUT I'M ENJOYING IT!!!

I don't mind the rain... I love it, actually.  But it's day's like today that make me want to stay in bed under the covers...  cold, dreary and rainy.  Just like anything else, it's all what we make of it... so, I'm making it a GOOD day!!!

Sitting here getting some work done...  enjoying a Greens Fruit Smoothie (made it with Apple Cider, Watermelon, Banana, Greens and Ice)...  while my coffee is brewing on the counter.

Feeling great about this Challenge!!! It's Day 12... and things are coming along beautifully.  As you all know, it's been a struggle for me with my water consumption... but day by day, it gets better... and I get better, too!

I've been taking all of my supplements...  have wrapped twice... and 3 days ago, I began using the Defining Gel twice a day of added contouring.  And I'm happy to say that my weight has gone down by 5 pounds... my belly fat has gone down by a whole pant size... and now I'm bringing the arms and chin (or should I say "chins" LOL) into the routine.

I didn't get THIS body overnight... so, I have to remind myself that I'm not going to get the body I want overnight either.

Hoping all of you have a great day!!!  Here's to a happier, healthier you!!!

IT WAS A "GREENS FACIAL" KIND OF DAY!

Sometimes I can't quite figure out how I fit all that I do into a 24 hour time period :)  Have you ever felt like that?!?!?!

As usual, today was another very busy day... but I managed to get my water intake UP...  not as much as I'd like it to be... but definitely more than I have been. YAY!!!

The best part of my day was in between shifts...  when I got to relax for a few minutes and give myself a great GREENS Facial!!!  I can honestly tell you that my skin truly felt AMAZING!!!  And the smoothness and silkiness I felt after was even better!!!

The tingling sensation on my skin combined with the effervescence of citrus was so calming and peaceful.  I absolutley loved it!!!

Hope everyone their day as much as I did!!!

WE WRAPPED... AND WE LOST!!! :)

So there you have it...  2nd wrap results!!!  :)  and I've LOST MORE FAT!!!

I've mentioned previously the importance of drinking plenty of water to flush the toxins, being released from our fat cells, out of our system... and I'm still struggling in that area.  But I'm definitely getting better.

Taking this Challenge has made me aware of the fact that not only do I not drink enough water... but I don't drink enough PERIOD!!!  Thanks to my new friend, Jessica, I learned a new little trick to start boosting my water intake...  so I'll keep you posted on how it works out.

WHAT A WEEKEND!!! :)

Did you miss me?!?! LOL :)

I'm sorry I wasn't available online to share the weekend with all of you... but it was a VERY BUSY weekend, to say the least.

I wish I could say that I stuck to my regimen... but I DIDN'T!!!  I had a bridal shower to attend with lots of yummy food!!!  But I DID bring my Fat Fighters with me, so it could've been much worse!

Wrapping again this evening, so will keep you updated!!!

Enjoy your Monday!!!

END OF THE WORK WEEK... 36 HOUR RESULTS!

Today's InspirationDavid Viscott said  "You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be."

Realized this morning that Summer is turning it's back on us... and Fall is quickly taking its place.  It's awfully chilly out there today. :(  Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge fan of Summer...  even though I didn't feel comfortable getting into a bathing suit this year!!!  And with this Ultimate Makeover Challenge, I'm praying that won't be the case NEXT Summer ;)

Got up this morning to the sound of a young girl crying.  I live across the street from a small charter school and the playground is right beside my house.  It broke my heart to see this beautiful little girl hiding behind a tree in the corner of the yard crying to herself... saying things like "Nobody pays attention to me.  No one wants to play with me."  :(

How many of you have ever felt this way...  as grown ups?!?!?!  I know that, for me, sometimes my brain tells me that I don't measure up...  especially when I allow my weight to factor into the insanity between my ears.  Fortunately, I learned the importance of positive-self talk... and telling that "poisoned parrot" to go away.  Not everything we tell ourselves to be true ACTUALLY IS!!!

A little update on where we stand in the Challenge...

We're on Day 5 of the Challenge... regularly taking the supplements (It's Vital, ThermoFit, Fat Fighters, Regular) and Greens...  also making regular use of the Essential Bars and ProFit shakes.  I have wrapped one time... on Wednesday night... and definitely LOST FAT!!!  Feeling like a kid with a new toy, I decided to measure myself about 36 hours after I put the 1st wrap on...  and the results were amazing!!!

WRAP # 1 - 36 Hour Results

Above Belly Button
down 5 inches from "before wrap" measurement
Across Belly Button
down 3 inches from "before wrap" measurement
Below Belly Button
down 2 1/2 inches from "before wrap" measurement

Not bad, if I do say so myself!!!  ;)  I can most definitely work with results like that!!!

Wishing you a fabulous day full of positive thoughts!!!

IT'S DAY 4 - AND THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!

So, I woke up this morning and was eager to see how the wrap had worked... and as you can see...  I definitely LOST FAT!!!

I think it's only important to mention that every individual is going to see different results when they use our products... just like with anything else in the world.  I know that, for myself, I have polluted my body for many, many years with an extremely unhealthy living style including poor eating habits and very little exercise.  In addition, prior to November of last year, I had smoked cigarettes for 30 years which plays a big part in the amount of toxins each of us has in our body.

For those of you who didn't know...  every human being is BORN with a set number of fat cells in their body.

The number of fat cells we have doesn’t change: they simply get bigger (when they’re storing) or smaller (when the body is pulling energy from them). They develop in childhood, and as we get older they steady off (about 8% die each year & get replaced). Someone who has more fat cells than average, but each is small, can be a relatively thin person. Someone with fewer fat cells, but each is large, can be overweight.  And the only reason this number would ever change is if you have cells ADDED or REMOVED from your body...  for example, removal through liposuction.

Someone who has a high number of fat cells will find it easier to gain weight & harder to lose weight (NOT impossible, but slightly harder). Overweight children develop a higher number of fat cells, and enter adulthood with more fat cells to work with. While they can still reduce the size of these cells, they have more of them to begin with, putting them at a slight (very slight) disadvantage. It’s more difficult to lose weight and easier to gain it when you have more fat cells to start with.

When we have more calories than our bodies need they get stored in our fat cells, making them bigger. This is a calorie surplus - leading to fat (or weight) gain. When we’re demanding more energy from our body than we have, it takes it from our fat cells, thus making them smaller. This is a calorie deficit - leading to fat (or weight) loss.

The rate at which your body removes energy from your fat cells is exactly the same, for every single cell. They get bigger and smaller at the same rate everywhere on the body. Women have deep ends and shallow ends when it comes to fat: we lose fat quicker in the shallow ends and slower in the deep ends. The fat is “emptied” at the same rate everywhere, but there’s simply more fat cells in the deep ends: it takes longer to see progress than in the shallow bits. These areas are different on every woman: ankles, butt, thighs, bellies, arms, boobies etc.

Ultimately, the fat we feel, see (and don’t see) is the result of how big or small our fat cells are.

For me, the lifestyle I chose to lead immediately prior to this Challenge and even still now, plays a big part in how quickly I will see results from the IT Works! products.   However, now that I am building a better regimen of nutrients in my system... with the help of our Greens, It's Vital, Regular, ThermoFit, Fat Fighters with Carb Inhibitors, Ultimate ProFit, and our Essential Bars... and doing my best to incorporate a habit of healthier eating, drinking more water, and just taking better care of myself all around, I believe that I will start to see much better results as the Challenge continues.

It's progress not perfection, right?!?!

Through my experience as a member of the IT Works! family, I have found out that even the "skinny" people have a part of their body (whether it's internal or external) that they're not happy with.

So, here's to a happier, healthier me!!!

AND WE'RE WRAPPED!!!

Winding down Day 3… had a good lunch and an even better dinner… sticking to the supplements too… but you know me… still struggling with that water intake. My brain justifies it by telling myself that “there’s plenty of water in COFFEE” :)  LOL

At 9:15pm, I was finally able to get WRAPPED!!! I started my wrapping session with a quick 10 minute “dry brushing” of my stomach from breasts to pelvis and hip to hip. Some of you may not be familiar with what “dry brushing” is… so here’s a little bit of info.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DRY BRUSHING is a stimulation of the skin that sets in motion natural healing pathways within your body.
Your skin is the primary sign of an internally toxic body. As soon as your internal body becomes toxic, it will spread out into your skin causing your skin to become irritated and itchy. There are numerous ports of elimination of the skin including your mouth, face, and arm pits, the inside of your upper thigh region, feet, and toe nails. Did you know that body odor is also an additional indicator of toxic build-up and is eradicated through the same channels. Let’s not forget your tongue, which builds up a plaque and is yet another gauge of toxins in the body.
Dry Brushing, although highly unknown in the States, is very popular in European spas and many cancer treatment centers today. The Russians, Turks and Scandinavians have used this treatment for centuries. Dry brushing stimulates skin renewal and makes it soft to the touch. It also allows us to brush off dead skin cells that are filled with toxins off our bodies and lighten its toxic load. However, the benefits don’t stop there.
Here are some of the other, VERY important benefits of dry brushing:
• Dry skin brushing helps to shed dead skin cells, which can help improve skin texture and cell renewal.
• Dry skin brushing increases circulation to skin, encouraging your body’s discharge of metabolic wastes, which greatly aids the lymphatic drainage of the entire body. When the body rids itself of toxins, it is able to run more efficiently in all areas.
• Dry skin brushing also helps to tighten the skin because it increases the flow of blood. Increasing the circulation to the skin can also help lessen the appearance of cellulite.
• Dry skin brushing stimulates the lymph canals to drain toxic mucoid matter into the colon, thereby purifying the entire system. This enables the lymph to perform its house-cleaning duties by keeping the blood and other vital tissues detoxified. After several days of dry brushing, you may notice the gelatinous mucoid material in your stools.
• Dry skin brushing helps with muscle tone and more even distribution of fat deposits.
• Dry skin brushing also rejuvenates the nervous system by stimulating nerve endings in the skin.
• Dry skin brushing helps your skin to absorb nutrients by eliminating clogged pores. Healthy, breathing skin contributes to overall body health.
• Individuals who sit at a computer screen all day long will particularly take pleasure in the benefits of skin brushing. People who have inactive lifestyles or jobs usually experience stiff and sore necks and shoulders that reach even into their arms and down their spines and into their lower backs. Increased blood flow begins entering the areas brushed and you will experience an increase in electromagnetic energy that permits you to feel energized and invigorated.
• AND FYI… Cellulite is toxic!!! Cellulite is toxic materials that are accumulated in your body’s fat cells as they are unable to be eliminated. So, rather than liposuction surgery, why not utilize the “dry skin brushing” technique coupled with our Ultimate Body Applicator wraps (that help you LOSE FAT), an alkaline diet program (our GREENS are great for this!), and a great exercising routine. It will break down the unwelcome toxic body deposits and send them scurrying out of your body through various elimination channels.
Now you can say that you learned something today!!!:)
So, as I was saying, I spent 10 minutes dry brushing my abdomen from top to bottom and side to side… then I took a quick shower to remove any of the impurities from my skin that were released from the dry brushing (making sure not to use any type of soap that contains lanolin, as this will block your pores and keep the salve from absorbing into our system).
Once I was dried off and ready to wrap, I took my measurements… and they were as follows:
2″ Above the Belly Button – 48 inches
Across the Belly Button – 50 inches
2″ Below the Belly Button – 52 inches
Since there isn’t a picture posted yet, picture my stomach looking like something that LITERALLY starts just under my breasts and goes out from there (sorta like one of those Pilates exercise balls) until it reaches my pelvis!!! Yep, that’s what I’m living life with at this very moment… and GETTING RID OF IT is the motivation driving me in this Challenge!!
Once my measurements were done, I opened the wrap and smoothed it out over my targeted area (which today was the abdomen). And then I chose to secure it with good ol’ cost-effective Saran Wrap! :) Some people prefer to use ace bandages or other exercise wrap bands… but I have wrapped many, many people and found that Saran Wrap really secures it best. Then I like to put a tight top (like a spandex tank top or sport shirt) on over everything for added comfort and better ease in mobility. THAT’S IT!!! All wrapped!!!
I’ll be sleeping with my wrap on tonight… so stay tuned for updates and pictures in the morning :) I’m headed to the couch to watch a bit of the TV and finish off the Mocha Coffee Smoothie I made a little bit ago. And you’ll be happy to know… I HAVE MY WATER BESIDE ME TOO!!!
Angels on your pillow everyone!!!
LEAVE YOUR FAT AT THE DOOR - DAY 3
[ORIGINALLY POSTED: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10:11am EST]
Today’s Inspiration: Julius Erving said “If you don’t do what’s best for your body, you’re the one who comes up on the short end.”
Have a busy day ahead of me… but am sitting at the table having my Greens with some Apple Cider today :) thought I’d change it up a little… Have already taken my It’s Vitals and ThermoFit too… Am planning on having a Greek yogurt and a Fat Fighter as soon as I get out of the shower and put on some Defining Gel :)
I have realized, as I go through this process, that I don’t drink nearly enough water everyday… or any fluids for that matter!!! And so I thought I’d share this little bit of information with you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5 ADVANTAGES OF DRINKING WATER IN THE MORNING

# 5 – Drinking water on am empty stomach purifies the colon making it easier to absorb nutrients

# 4 – Increases the production of new blood and muscle cells

# 3 – Helps with weight loss. Drinking at least 16 ounces of chilled water can boost your metabolism by 24% in the morning

# 2 – Glowing Skin… Water helps to purge toxins from the blood which helps keep your skin glowing and clear

# 1 – Balances your lymph system. These glands help you perform your daily functions, balance your body fluids, and fight infection.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How many of you knew that?!?!?
Feel free to share with us any other benefits of water!!! As for me, I guess I’ll be having some water when I’m out of the shower :)
Wishing you a positive day!!! Stay tuned for our first set of “After Wrap” pictures later today!!!
ANOTHER DAY DOWN!!!
[ORIGINALLY POSTED: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:14pm EST]
So we’re winding down on day two of the challenge… overall it was a great day :)
Of course, I picked the busiest week EVER to start this challenge, but I’m determined to make the best of it!!!
Once I get into a good routine, it’ll be smooth sailing!!! Opted not to wrap tonight because my water intake was not that great today :( but live and learn right?!?!?
Definitely wrapping in the morning :) and will be posting some new pictures for you tomorrow night :) YAY!!!
Sweet dreams everyone!!!
DAY 2 - GOING STRONG!
[ORIGINALLY POSTED: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 4:52pm]
Tuesday is a good day… great breakfast of toast and hard-boiled egg… with my OJ & Greens… and then lots of water… taking all my supplements as suggested… feeling great!!!
As you all know, I’m taking the challenge with our ULTIMATE PACK… and right now, I’m loving the Greens and the Fat Fighters. Veggies and fruits have never been a huge part of my diet… I’ve always been more of a carb and richer foods eater… pasta, potatoes, rice, lots of breads… cheeses and cream sauces… but with the help of these two amazing products I’m able to get the nutrients I need and fight some of the “fat” I put into my body! I’m hoping that by the end of this challenge, I’ll feel healthier and EAT healthier… because my body won’t be craving the “unhealthy” things I usually eat.
Off to school tonight… just had a little dinner… and a Fat Fighter :)
Hope everyone is enjoying their day… looking forward to WRAPPING tonight :)
READY, SET... LOSE!!!
[ORIGINALLY POSTED: Monday, September 17, 2012 at 8:49pm EST]
Not a bad first day… if I do say so myself!!! Started the day off right with a glass of OJ & Greens, ThermoFit, and It’s Vital. Then followed it up with a great little breakfast with a hard-boiled egg and a pumpkin bagel with fat-free (FF) cream cheese… and I made my own little Mocha-chino with some coffee and a little bit of the Rich Chocolate Ultimate ProFit… and a nice Fat Fighter for dessert!
Took a nice two mile walk on the way to work… had some water and an iced coffee… then a refreshing clementine and a Greek yogurt.
Unfortunately, my allergies have been kicking my butt the last week, so my head is still a little foggy & congested… but overall I feel great. Had another ThermoFit and Fat Fighter during the day… and today’s lunch was Veggie Chips and Chicken Salad.
For the most part, I managed to get a lot accomplished today… unfortunately, a good deal of it involved sitting… so not too much more exercise throughout the rest of the day.
Dinner was scrumptious!!! Had some Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs with steamed brown rice and mixed vegetables. YUMMY!!! And, of course, another Fat Fighter for the finishing touch :)
Wish I could say I was perfect my first day… LOL… but I did choose to indulge in three (3) of the Hershey’s minis that were calling to me from the corner of the room ;)
Ending the day with an Essential Bar… and lots more water… plus a Regular before bed. Then tomorrow we’ll be starting the Defining Gel and Wraps regimen too.
Stay tuned!!!
ULTIMATE MAKEOVER CHALLENGE KICKOFF
[ORIGINALLY POSTED: Monday, September 17, 2012 at 7:45am EST]
So, today’s the day!!! I started the Ultimate Makeover Challenge first thing this morning… and so far, so good!!! I can honestly say… I’ve been looking forward to this since last week… and am hoping that you’ll be able to appreciate the results I come up with, as much as I do.
Because I am unhappy with how I’ve allowed my weight to get the better of me over the last year or so, I won’t be posting the specifics about my BEGINNING measurements and weight… until the end of the challenge. But I will talk about what I’ve lost, what I’ve gained, what I’ve done, used and eaten. I will also start posting before and after pictures, as I go along.
I would love to hear feedback from EVERYONE… both positive and/or constructive… but please don’t post negative feedback. I’m more than capable of making myself feel bad, without extra help from the cynic or skeptic.
Throughout my journey, I won’t try to sell anyone anything. However, if you are interested in trying any of the Products… selling them yourself as a Distributor… offering them as a service or sale item in your salon/boutique/fitness studio or therapist’s/doctor’s office… please don’t hesitate to let me know, and I will get in touch with you!!
In addition to the progressive “Before and After” pictures I will be posting week to week, I also plan to talk about the products I am using throughout this challenge, different tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way, and some easy exercise information. I’m hoping that this will be beneficial to everyone whether they use the IT Works! products or not!
As always, if you have any questions about the products I’m using or the process itself, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Ready, Set… LOSE!!!
